Holiday Greetings to All,

With the closing of the school last June, the members of the PTO board made a commitment to start the Parent Youth Organization. After reviewing the Parent Survey Forms that were sent out with the fall newsletter, the consensus was that we needed more events for the children of our parish to do together. We have planned many activities for the youth of our parish. These activities can only be successful if they are well attended. Enclosed with this newsletter are flyers pertaining to upcoming events aimed at certain age groups as well as the family unit. Please show your support by attending and volunteering, if possible.

What have we done so far?

Well, we held the Recess!! for the younger children. This was a lot of fun. Students in grades K-3 met in Madonna Hall and enjoyed games and snacks. Thank you to all who were there.
We hosted our 1st Annual Turkey Dinner. We fed 160 hungry parishioners and family members. Although this was not designed to be a money maker, we made a huge profit of over $650.00. We collected boxes of canned goods for St. Vincent DePaul Society and even donated Turkeys that were not raffled off. Thank you to all who attended.

The PYO Board meets every 2nd Monday of the month at 7:00PM in Room 21. As we are not holding any general meetings this school year, we encourage anyone who can attend these meetings to come and give your opinions. As activities arise at area schools, the dates of the board meetings are subject to change. Please refer to the website for dates and times of our meetings.
