Our first year as the St. Margaret Mary Parent Youth Organization is drawing to a close; we are looking back at what we did and what we can do in the future. . We were not sure when we started this last year what this year would bring but we had a lot of great things happen. Let me summarize the year for you:

We began the organization because we had the financial backing to do a lot of good for the parish. We held events to bring the parish together and still made money. Who would have thought! We are currently working on the budget for next. We know what we are capable of and plan to do a lot more for the youth of the parish. One thing that we must make clear, the perception is that the PYO is for the students who attend parochial schools, whether grade school or high school, but that is not the case. We are here for the entire parish. We are the ParentYouthOrganization of St. Margaret Mary Parish.

Here is what we planning so far for the 2007-2008 school year:

We are in the process of planning service activities for the youth of our parish. Please look for more details in the church bulletin. We understand that our youth are involved in many activities at area schools and will plan our events according to their schedules. However, we know that some events may overlap but we will try our best to make it work for everyone.

Current Events:

Thank you to all who participated in the Memorial Day Parade. Thank you to Sharon Huber for coordinating this event for us. A special thank you to our drivers: Sharon Kauffman, Paul Miles, Joe Hollman, and Mr. Korte.

We had another successful car wash. We raised close to $300.00. Thank you!!

Market Day News:
We will have a pick up in June and August. There will not be a sale in July so stock up on your favorites!

LifeTime Membership Awards
Congratulations to Sharon Kauffman and George Hilleary, this years recipients. They have given a lot of time and effort to the school and to the current PYO. We thank them for their support.
