August marks the beginning of another school year but it also begins the second year for the St. Margaret Mary Parent Youth Organization. Our mission is to bring the parish families closer through spiritual and social needs that are indentified throughout the year. The perception has been that we are here only for those families that attended school here. This organization was established to meet the needs of the entire parish. Any registered family of St. Margaret Mary Parish is a member whether you have children or not. I hope this clears up any questions you may have. If you have additional concerns, please contact any board member.

The PYO board held its meeting on August 6th. We have a lot of activities plan for everyone this year. The calendar for this year is enclosed with this letter. Please take the time to mark your calendars. We are always in need of volunteers. Volunteering is a great way to meet others and gain new friendships. With your support, we will have a great second year.

We will kick-off this school year with the Blessing of the Students at all weekend masses, August 25 and 26. Following the 4:30 mass on August 25, we will hold our 2nd Annual Ice Cream Social outside the Parish Center. We will be raffling eight $25.00 gift cards. Take time to get to know us and let us know what we can do for you!

The board meets the second Monday of each month, excluding July. Our meetings are held in Room 21 and begin at 7PM. We have extended an open invitation to anyone who wishes to attend.
